Planting the free trees

The free trees from 300 Trees were in pots so it was easy to dig a hole in good soil, then place the tree with its soil in the hole, fill in around the tree, and mulch the area. For the trees that went into a new area that didn't have good soil, I brought good soil from my yard but you can also buy Cedar Grove compost or another type of soil mix to fill in. Notice the crater of mulch around the plants that will hold in water.
